This is SeventhwinD, pretty old school. Joined around the early planning stages of MxO(Pre-Alpha). How have you guys been? Not sure if anyone remembers me. Shit hit the fan during beta with my work and could no longer play.
Was curious to see how many of you still play, what's the inside scoop with the game now, is it as buggy as beta(I sure as hell hope not, the rubberbanding and quest resets had to go ), is the pvp any good, and what are the classes like these days? Thinking about possibly coming back and playing. Also, would any of you happen to have one of those promotional cd-keys Warner gave out awhile ago for some event(maybe it was a holiday)?

I came in just after the live death of morpheus, so i cant tell you if its any better than beta, PvP? really depends on how many people are around when theres a fight, too many of one org usually spoils it.
Sounds like youre referring to a friends and family trial key, which were from when WBIE was managing the game, Its since moved onto SOE and I doubt those keys are valid any longer. There arent any existing trial programs going right now either.
Is the game fun? I think youre smart enough to know what kind of awnsers you'll get from an MxO faction site
If you're into beta and testing, then youll be glad to know that there are test servers close to launch that will test a new combat system. As for now and then comparisons, I'll leave that to the vets. _________________

The games great, but after a while I found it to be more of an addiction rather than playing because it was actually GOOD in terms of a game. In terms of a game there is little content but hopefully this will all be changed within 2006, I think the games great and definately worth having a bash at it.
I find some people like it and some don't, other than the game is average content wise the community is frickin awesome! _________________

Like Tax said earlier, there's a new Combat Revision slated for release early next year. So we can't really make any comments on what the game's gonna be like when you get back
Currently it's in a holding pattern, waiting to see what SOE comes up with. However we've been getting more and more bug fixes, LEs and Storyline updates over the last few months, so that's good.
Can't comment on early beta, I only got in the last month or so. Data Miner has been screwed since then, Widows Gi and CT boosts have been nerfed and split (RCT on shirts only, MCT on trousers only, speed boosts only on shoes). However we've also had a lot of good content, such as Pandoras box, added.
The community is still going great, in TGS in particular. You'd never be short of a laugh if you did come back.
Basically, MxO is at a crux point. What SOE do in the next 2 months will make or break the game. All that I know is that I'm sure as hell sticking around to find out. _________________ New ST site :: New ST Forums

Sounds interesting. After hearing about what they did to SWG with the new combat system in that game, I think I'll wait to see what happens in the new MxO combat system just to be safe.
As for classes, what's good at the moment? Just trying to figure out if they actually changed the classes around since the last time I played(I'm almost positive they have). Any link references would be greatly appreciated. |

Nah, you want an MKT/Assasin combo. That's what I use pretty much all the time
Unless they have hackers, in which case I go Max VD with either Karate or MKT. _________________ New ST site :: New ST Forums
