Yesterday Polo and I went to the FACTS convention in Gent, Belgium: the biggest fantasy, anime, comics, toys and sci-fi festival in the Benelux, where nerds from all corners of the galaxy have their yearly get-together, walking around in their finest sf-outfit without being laughed at for once lol  ;
And of course we had lots of fun while looking through the countless dealers stands and doing some smooth-faced geek spotting
This is what part of the main hall looks like from above; lots of people bumping into each other as they’re too busy checking out DVD’s, CD’s, model kits, figurines, action figures, posters, books, computer games, comics, manga, magazines, trading cards, card games, etc. etc.

Part of the main arcade gallery with no less than 30 consoles and the latest games of Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox.
Where’s the Wookie? (yea, the one on the left looks quite sleepy) 
Two of the more than 250 people in costume. Cloud Strife (FFVII) is very well done 
The Rayment/Matrix twins! Asking 25 Euros for an autograph! Goddamn swindling Mervs! 
It’s Warwick Davis! He played one of those annoying Ewoks in Star Wars ^^ and Marvin the Paranoid Android in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. 
Nothing beats a cool beer afterwards We’ll be back next year for the 16th edition w00t

They announced the winners at the end of the convention, but we didn't stay that long.
I bet it was that Anakin-wannabe. He did a pretty good job, except for the over-acting at the end.
