Alright, I originally shared this with Gookin and Procurator last night, but I felt I should let you all be part of this:

That's pretty good! I've never pranked a telemarketer, exaclty, but I did tell one selling magazine subscriptions once that I was not allowed to receive periodicals at my appartment complex. They bought it.

I saw a comic strip panel that demonstrated phone sex as a viable means of deterring telemarketers.

Wow. That puts my "hold on, let me find my wallet" technique to shame.

I just ask them the same questions they ask me and usually in the same accent that I have.

Alternatively just say "Ohhh, pardong pardong, je ne pas d'anglais" in the strongest french accent you can do!

lol..
I usually accuse them of obtaining my number illegally since it is not a listed number and insist on their full name and address so that I can proceed with legal action.

They generally sputter an apology and hang up.
Which on a side note makes it plainly obvious that they lack the intelligence to do any other job, since there is a short silence before anyone speaks after I pick up. Indicating that it is a computer randomly dialing then connecting an operator if the phone is answered.

Noo.. what you do is take it form the show Seinfeld.

"oh, I'm a little busy now could you give me your homephone number so I can call you back?"

"um no I can't do that sir"

"Oh so you don't want people calling your homephone and bothering you? Now you know how I feel *click*"
