For reasons I'll keep to myself, I don't work for the time being. Not necessarily a good thing, but at least my time is my own. |

Iaijutsu (in comparison to Iaido) is the combat application of drawing the sword and striking in a single motion. Many of the techniques require drawing the blade at high speeds, but drawing as fast as possible is not necessarily the focus. The sword arts I study and teach comprise of two basic stages. The Iaijutsu (drawing the sword and striking) and the Kenjutsu (the techniques performed once the sword is drawn from the saya). It's a lot of fun. |

I'm new so am filling out all the 'get to know you' type threads so people get to know me a little better.
I have just finished my first year of study at the University of Manchester in the UK, studing American Studies and International Politics. I will be heading to the University of Massachusetts next year as part of my degree course.
Outside of that, I work often in the holidays at an activity camp for young children, where I coordinate outdoor activities such as paintballing, abseiling and quadbiking. I also sell prints of my artwork from time to time for some extra cash. _________________

Really? To study what?
It's a great city, especially for students (80p a pint at some places!). Can get alot of booze for your buck.
The University is excellent too great too, a nice mix between campus and city study. _________________
