I was in my final stage of becoming a Jedi (whole process took about 4 months I think) when the NGE came, which made Jedi a starting profession like everything else.
And all those special weapons and stuff I had collected in Kashyyk and from special quests were useless.
The gun I had that was worth 9 million credits = worthless.
The clear unique lightsaber crystals I had stored in my house, at a total worth of like 40 million credits = worthless.
The Anti-Decay Kit Globin gave me once (that you only get once per account life time as a 6 month vet reward) = useless. There's no decay anymore.
That pretty much did it for me. The only reason they did it was because Sony wanted it to work on Playstation 3 anyway.

Don't bother... SOE completely alienated most of the mature players in their attempts to chase all the 12-year old, immature noobs (of which there are plenty).
SWG is now nothing more than a noob-fest. Everything that made it the awesome game it was has been removed in favour of dumbed-down, easy kid-stuff.
