For the Brit's without US "tele"... a bunch of US "football" analysts predicted a US win over the Czechs, apparently ignoring the fact that they (the Czech Rebulic) have a much better team.
Turns out, all those analysts *PLAY* for the US team! Go figure.
I pay attention, but I'm not rooting for the US (I don't want soccer to be any more popular in the states!)... I'm rooting for Mexico (mostly so my co-workers don't kill me ).

Atleast we played good, had the ball more and completely dominated them in the second half.

Maybe someone can help me. What in the name of all that is sacred is interesting about soccer/football? Admittedly, I'm an american which naturally means i couldn't care less about soccer, but even when I played it as a kid i thought it was a dull game. My theory is that the rest of the world likes it because we don't. Either that or they haven't built a baseball diamond yet...

Football (I'm calling it by its real name) is the most popular and most played sport in the world. Baseball never really caught on in other parts of the world anyways, so thats why you don't see it much else than America.

Well, except Japan. The Japanese love baseball more than we do. Honestly though I'm not that excited over baseball or either game that gets called football. I like hockey, though.

No. Regular hockey is played on grass with a curved stick.
A sport at which the Dutch are quite good, too.
On a WC-related note, Spain just PWNT Ukrain 4-0.
