Yeah, PNG does the job, but you might want to look at it in Internet Explorer.

(I know IE is shit, but it's a sad fact that a lot of people use it. Unless you're prepared to offer the poor IE users a GIF or entirely different alternative so the transparent PNG doesn't look too shit, don't bother with transparent PNGs. Then again, in this example it only means the circle in the middle appears as a white hole like originally, so it's not too much of a problem. But as a general rule...)

PNG's do when you use transparancy.
